Educational purpose

Created by Coach Maricel, this Hub offers explanations, study activities and refreshers for new and experienced drivers. It is not a licensed CDL training school, certification program or government agency. It does not issue licenses, endorsements or certifications, establish regulatory compliance, or guarantee a test result. Practice illustrations and simulator exercises simplify vehicle movement and are not a complete or physics-accurate representation of a real maneuver. Follow qualified instruction, your employer’s procedures, applicable laws and your vehicle’s limitations.

Your discretion and responsibility

Use of this Hub is voluntary. Every student, trainee and driver is responsible for deciding whether information applies to their experience, vehicle, load, route and current conditions, and whether it is safe and lawful to act. Do not attempt a maneuver or continue a trip merely because an example, exercise, suggestion, camera image or link appears here. If information is unclear, conflicts with official instructions, or cannot be independently verified, do not rely on it; stop in a suitable location and seek qualified guidance.

The Hub does not inspect your vehicle, assess your readiness, supervise a maneuver, monitor your surroundings or make driving decisions for you. Its content is general and is not individualized instruction, dispatch direction, legal advice, emergency assistance or an assurance that a situation is safe. Completing an activity does not establish competence or authorization to operate a commercial vehicle.

Supplemental only — never a substitute

No page, checklist, illustration, exercise, map, forecast, camera link or parking suggestion replaces qualified hands-on instruction and supervision; required CDL or entry-level driver training; official manuals and testing; pre-trip or ongoing vehicle inspections; trip planning and hours-of-service compliance; an appropriate commercial-vehicle navigation system; employer and instructor instructions; posted signs and applicable laws; direct observation, Get Out And Look (GOAL), or a properly coordinated spotter; or professional and emergency assistance when needed.

Always use caution and your own judgment. Do not use this website while driving, backing or otherwise operating equipment. Have a passenger handle information only when doing so does not distract the driver, or wait until safely parked. No website can eliminate the risks of commercial driving.

Road, weather, camera and parking information

Information and external services may be delayed, incomplete, inaccurate, unavailable or out of date. Camera views may be old, frozen or limited and cannot establish traction, visibility or safe passage. Weather forecasts and sun times are estimates. The suggested parking deadline is a planning reminder, not a guarantee of sufficient time or compliance with hours-of-service rules.

A linked facility or parking location is not a promise that it is open, suitable for your truck, available, secure or authorized for overnight parking. Check current commercial-vehicle restrictions, clearances, closures, chain requirements and posted signs. Confirm parking permission, hours, fees and availability with the operator or responsible agency before relying on a location. Do not enter private property without permission. Stop in a suitable place and seek qualified assistance when conditions or a maneuver exceed your training, equipment or visibility.

Public accessibility does not by itself make material public domain or grant permission to copy, embed, adapt or redistribute it. Source credits

• Traffic cameras and road maps: the state transportation departments, 511 services and public agencies named on each selected source link. Those providers control their maps, images, coverage and updates. The Hub links to these services rather than copying or embedding their camera streams.
• Parking and service locators: Love’s Travel Stops, Pilot / Flying J, TravelCenters of America / Petro, CAT Scale and the public-agency services identified in the parking tools. A scale or service listing does not establish permission to park overnight.
• Weather, sunrise and sunset data: Open-Meteo, provided under Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 (CC BY 4.0). The Hub converts and rounds temperature and wind units, formats times and calculates its suggested parking deadline.
